Founded by father and daughter team Jeff and Katherine Hurley, and supported by Katherine’s husband, Joshua Hurley, our company was built on integrity, service, and small-town dependability.

We started MetroCity Rentals with one goal to make moving, cleanup, and hauling easier, more affordable, and more reliable for families and businesses across the Hampton Roads region. Jeff Hurley

Co-Owner & Director of Business Development and Operations

Jeff is a Service-Disabled Veteran and experienced entrepreneur who brings decades of leadership and operational know-how to MetroCity Rentals. Having founded and managed multiple successful companies, Jeff understands what it takes to build a business rooted in reliability, efficiency, and trust.

At MetroCity Rentals, he oversees sales, customer service, and daily operations — working closely with the team to ensure every delivery, pickup, and customer experience runs smoothly. Jeff also partners directly with commercial clients to develop customized service contracts that meet each customer’s operational goals, timelines, and budget requirements.

Katherine Hurley

Co-Owner, Director of Finance & Customer Operations

Katherine brings nearly a decade of financial and operational leadership to MetroCity Rentals. With over nine years of experience as a Chief Financial Officer, she manages the financial systems, logistics, scheduling, and overall business operations that keep the company running efficiently every day.

At MetroCity Rentals, Katherine oversees the business side of operations — ensuring transparency, organization, and reliability across every customer interaction. She works directly with homeowners, builders, and business clients to coordinate services, answer questions, and make sure each project runs on time and within budget.

Known for her professionalism and genuine care for customers, Katherine combines her strong business background with a personal touch. Her focus is on creating a seamless, stress-free experience — from the first phone call to the final pickup — built on honesty, respect, and exceptional service.

Joshua Hurley

Director of Fleet Management & Logistics

Josh brings a unique combination of technical expertise, mechanical precision, and military discipline to MetroCity Rentals. A U.S. Army Veteran with over ten years of service as a Motor Sergeant, he ensures every truck, trailer, and dumpster in the fleet operates at peak performance and safety.

At MetroCity Rentals, Josh manages fleet maintenance, equipment logistics, and compaction services — overseeing every detail that keeps the company running smoothly in the field. He coordinates scheduling and ensures that the right equipment is available, prepared, and delivered on time for every customer project. His hands-on experience with heavy equipment and mechanical systems guarantees reliable performance and efficiency on every job.
